Welcome, Tigers!

2025-2026

Welcome to seventh grade! We hope you are excited about being a student at Ryan Gloyer Middle School, and we look forward to meeting you soon! Please take note of the upcoming dates and important information below.

  • Building Visitation Day: Wednesday, August 13th

We encourage you to visit RGMS for a self-guided tour of the building anytime between 9:00-12:00 or 3:00-6:00. Make sure you bring a paper or electronic copy of your schedule to find your classrooms. Student Council members will be present to distribute maps and help you find classrooms. Your locker number and combination will be provided during the visitation, so you can practice opening your locker. Feel free to bring your school supplies to put inside your locker.

  • First Day of School: Thursday, August 21st

Please report directly to your homeroom on the first day of school with your team binder. There will be an extended homeroom period in the morning to help with your transition to RGMS. During this time, we will provide you with a copy of your schedule, building map, locker information, and planner. We will review this information and answer any questions you have. You will also have time to practice opening your locker prior to first period.

  • Open House: Thursday, September 18th

Please join us from 6:00-8:30 to learn about the middle school experience, meet your child's teachers, and see your child's classrooms. This is a parent-only event.

  • Tiger Team School Supply List

To help you get organized and prepared for seventh grade, we have compiled a list of supplies that you will need for the school year which can be found on our team website. Additional supplies may need to be purchased for encore classes. If you are unable to purchase any of the required team supplies, please have a parent/guardian email one of the Tiger teachers, so we can help you. Please bring your school supplies during the building visitation or on the first day of school. In addition, we are asking each student to donate tissue boxes to help our classrooms remain stocked throughout the school year. Please give these items directly to your homeroom teacher. We greatly appreciate your generosity and support.

  • RGMS Map

Most of your classes will be located in the Tiger team hallway. We encourage you to highlight each of your classrooms on the map in your school planner to help you find your classes. A school planner will be provided on the first day of school.

  • Bus Dismissal Map

Please make sure you know the number(s) of your bus (AM and PM if applicable) and activity bus. This is posted on the SV Portal. We will provide the map on the first day of school so you will know where to locate your bus.

  • Questions?

If you have any specific questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email a Tiger team teacher. We work together as a team and encourage you to communicate with us as needed. We understand this is a big transition for you and are happy to answer any questions that you have.
