I asked parents at the end of the 2018 Italy Trip if they would be willing to share their or their child's experience with trip preparation and the trip.
This is what they had to say:
Q: What are some "tips" for future travelers and/or their parents that you have to share?

My only advice for parents is to follow the instructions given and don't procrastinate. If you do, you and your child will be completely prepared by departure time.
Q: What was the best part of the experience for YOU as a parent?

Just being aware that my child was getting to take part in such an exciting opportunity to experience a new culture and see things that some people are never fortunate enough to see, was incredibly rewarding as a parent.
Q: What was the best part of the experience for your CHILD?

It appears that the whole trip was the best part of the experience for my child. He has talked a lot about the little details like how they have lemon soda and stray dogs everywhere, as well as the beautiful sights such as the Island of Capri.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to share with Mrs. Deeds?

Thanks so much for providing this opportunity, as well as for being a good teacher. It is apparent that your students enjoy learning in your classes, respect you as a teacher and a person, and feel valued by you. It is also clear that you are highly organized and communicate clearly. I was able to feel very safe with my child in your care while oversee's, and that is priceless as a parent. Thanks for providing my child with such a wonderful rare experience. He had the time of his life!
