Helpful Tips for New 7th Graders!

Welcome, new Bobcats to your 2023-2024 school year in 7th grade!
You're going to have a great time on our team!

Here are a few tips to help you get ready for 7th grade:

-On the first day, bring at least a binder or folder and a pencil if you can.  You'll get lots of important papers and need to write things down!

-When you get to school, you will report directly to your 1st period class.

-Don't worry about getting lost.  Teachers will make sure you figure out where you need to go!

-You have about a week to get settled into a table at lunch.  You have some time to figure out who you want to sit with!  See who is in your class before lunch; you can all go to lunch together when class ends.  You'll find some buddies to sit with!

-You can buy or pack your lunch.  If you're buying a lunch, you need to have your parent/guardian put money in your account online (using MySchoolBucks).

-If you need to leave early, you need to give your early dismissal note to a secretary in the FRONT OFFICE.  Don't give it to your 1st period teacher.

-If you miss school, give your excuse note to your first period teacher.  (Also, go see all of your teachers to see what you missed in each class!)

-Make sure you know your bus number.  If you don't know it, stop in the front office.

-Worried about finding your bus at the end of the day?  Teachers will help you to make sure you find it.

-What is "FLEX?"  Flex is right after 3rd period and is considered your "home room."  This is a time for things such as: planned activities, time to read/work on homework/make-up assignments and tests, check out a book from the library, get help from teachers and receive important information.

-You will receive a locker to use.  It has a combination lock on it.  You'll be given your own three-digit code to open it.  You can practice ahead of time with any regular combination lock.  There are a lot of videos on YouTube.  You can search for one, or watch this short one: https://youtu.be/N8jrVJBzYEc
