Mrs. Meier -- Acting Assistant Principal
My name is Skylar Meier, and I am the Acting Assistant Principal of Ryan Gloyer Middle School. Before taking this administrative position, I taught ten years as a Health and Physical Education teacher. I began my career at South Allegheny Middle/High School for four years, then taught a few years for 21st Century Cyber Charter School. I began my career at Seneca Valley School District in 2021 at SVAOC as a cyber-PE teacher. During that school year I moved to RGMS as an 8th grade Health teacher, which is where I was the past three years! My favorite thing about middle school is building the positive relationships, getting to know my students, and helping them reach their goals.
My own education began at Bethany College where I played collegiate basketball and earned my bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education. Then, I continued my education at Point Park University where I earned my master’s degree in Educational Administration with Principal Papers. In addition, I am currently enrolled at American College of Education to earn my second master’s degree in Health and Wellness Education. I thoroughly enjoy learning, and I am looking forward to continuing my education throughout my career.
In my free time, you can find me with my family, playing/watching sports, doing CrossFit, or doing photography. My husband and I have two boys named Bryson and Trace, a goldendoodle named Nike, and a bernedoodle named Steel. We love to travel, spend time with our families, and make memories!
