Assistant Principal
Dr Samantha Flanhofer

Dr. Flanhofer brings more than 15 years of experience in education. For the last 10 years, she has served the Mars Area School District in a variety of educator and administrative roles, including interim assistant principal and fourth grade teacher at Mars Elementary School and life skills teacher at Mars High School. She previously spent four years as a learning support and life skills teacher in the Ambridge School District and also gained experience as an elementary teacher in the Pine-Richland School District and an autistic support teacher in the Allegheny Valley School District.
“I am thrilled to step into the role of assistant principal at Ryan Gloyer Middle School,” said Dr. Flanhofer. “My focus will be on enhancing student achievement and continuing to foster a positive, supportive school culture. I can’t wait to build strong connections and celebrate the many successes ahead. I am especially excited to work alongside Mrs. Butschle and the outstanding staff at Ryan Gloyer Middle School."
Dr. Flanhofer holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctorate in Special Education from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Education in Reading Education from University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with Urban Emphasis from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
